About Steve

Steve Heisler, better known as Steve-O, entered this world on June 5, 1973. He and his wife Alison have been married since October 16, 1999 and live in Plant City, Florida with their dog Buster.

Steve got his start in sprint cars wrenching on Johnny Gilbertson’s dirt car in 1998. Then in 2005 Steve finally got to drive a few times in Johnny’s asphalt car.

Then in 2006 Steve drove Keith Butler’s second asphalt car a few times. At the end of 2007 Steve was asked to drive the DeCaire Motorsports #41 asphalt sprint car. Steve also had the chance to run in the second annual Florida 400. Steve qualified 11th and finished 8th.

In 2008 Steve competed in his first  full season with the TBARA. Steve had two top fives and ten top tens, finishing 9th in points for the year.

In 2009 Steve raced a limited schedule with the DeCaire Motorsports #41 asphalt sprint car due to lack of sponsorship. Towards the end of the season Steve was asked by Butler Motorsports to drive “The Legend” Stan Butler’s #81 sprint car and become a team mate to his son Shane Butler. Steve went on to record six top fives and four top tens, finishing 16th in points for the year.

In 2010, Steve is currently still driving the #81 for Butler Motorsports. In addition, Steve has been asked to drive a mini sprint in the Florida Mini Sprint Association, for the Penrose Racing Team. Steve is very excited to have this opportunity to drive for them and also to drive on dirt.
